The Veiner Page

Here's a veiner I built from the plans below.

These are amazing tools. Build or buy one from me and you won't regret it. You can use them for tracing out patterns prior to repousse', grooving stock parallel to the edge or marking out centers prior to splitting such as this.



Old pipe threading dies work great for anvils. Grind the threads off and you're ready to go. Upset the ends with a torch and small ball peen. Be careful! M-2 tool steel will go hot short quickly! MSC has tool steel in conveinent sizes for punches. 1.5 x.375 is just about perfect, in 0-1, preferably.



Here's one I just built based on a chipping hammer. Too much fun!
